The Gift of Goodbye

There’s a quiet kind of strength that doesn’t get talked about enough—the strength it takes to say goodbye.

Not the rushed, angry kind.

Not the kind forced out of frustration.

But the intentional, soul-deep goodbye that comes after you’ve given love, effort, patience… and finally realize: this is where I release.

Somewhere along the way, many of us were taught that leaving means quitting. That if we just tried harder, loved deeper, or stayed longer, things would change.

But growth will challenge that belief.

Sometimes goodbye is the most honest thing you can say to yourself.

Goodbye to:

  • relationships that require you to shrink

  • environments that drain your spirit

  • versions of yourself built only to survive

Letting go doesn’t mean you didn’t care.

It means you finally care about you too.

At Cotton Hands, we believe healing isn’t just about holding on—it’s also about knowing when to gently let go.
